When it was announced that Maura Tierney had breast cancer and her new series, Parenthood, was being pushed back two months to give her time for treatment, it gave the hope that, even though it is cancer, that it was caught early and therefore more easily treatable. However, it was just announced that they are now looking for a new actress to play Maura’s part so she can give her focus to her cancer treatment.
