Did you happen to check out the ESPY Awards this year? They were on TV on Wednesday night. I’m really glad that I tuned into this, because I had something going on that got cancelled at the last minute.
I loved seeing all of the celebrities and athletes on the red carpet. One of my favorite was Jessica Alba. I like her to begin with, and her outfit was perfect for summer and the event. It was simple yet had enough to make it stand out and shine. E! Online has a great spot with pictures from the ESPY red carpet arrivals.

Justin Bieber has been laying pretty low lately. After the news of his alleged assault came out in the press, he hasn’t been out and about too often.
This is why nobody expected him to show up at the Coachella music festival this past weekend. I think it’s safe to say that quite a few people were surprised to see him when he made a surprise appearance with Chance the Rapper. Fans were excited to see him!
His hearing for the assault was today in Toronto. He did not attend and was not required to. Lawyers will be reappearing in court on May 12, and there will hopefully be more information released at that time.
I absolutely love award shows. I don’t know if it’s the actual awards that I enjoy watching or the red carpet event before the show actually starts. The red carpet event encompasses my love and passion for both fashion and celebrities.
The 56th Grammy Awards were on this past Sunday and it was great as always. I made a Sunday night meal and plopped down in front of the TV from start to finish. Some of the winners last night included: Imagine Dragons (Record of the Year), Lorde (Song of the Year-Royals), Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (Best New Artist), Bruno Mars (Best Pop Vocal Album-Unorthodox Jukebox) Alicia Keys (Best R&B Album-Girl on Fire), and so so many more.

I have been seeing the greatest store and business exhibits everywhere I go this holiday season. There are spectacular displays that really get me into the Christmas spirit. I can have a great time just looking and window shopping without buying a thing. Have you seen some of these?
I am thinking of a late career move and I am going to join the exhibit manufacturers in their wonderful creativity. It would be so fun to build some of these displays. I do see them throughout the year also at trade shows and theme parks and such but I am out more in the month of December shopping so they always get to me.
At trade shows I spend a good share of my time marveling over the displays and wondering how they take them down, pack them up and travel with them to another location only to assemble a great display with high quality once again.
It is fun to build and let your creativity flow, I think that is what I like about displays so much. I may just have to go and get myself a great big lego set for the time being to get my creative juices flowing and be a kid again instead of a career move, off to the store.
It’s no secret that celebrities have what it takes to look like they belong on the red carpet. They have the trendiest dresses, the most dazzling jewelry, the best heels, and hairstyles that look perfect. I almost always look to the red carpet for inspiration when I’m going to a classy event. I know I’m not alone here when I say that sometimes I watch award shows like the Emmys, Grammys, and Oscars just to see what all of the celebrities are wearing!
I’m going to a VERY formal holiday party on New Years Eve and have already been looking for a dress. I found a website that carries red-carpet worthy winter formals. I’m looking for something floor-length and really like this one:
What do you think? I’m going to pair it with silver heels and a silver clutch to bring out the sparkle at the top of the dress.
