People.com tells us that Let’s hope she brushed this time. Thats exactly what I was thinking too. 
Just a week after admitting to brushing her pearly whites just three days a week – and getting reprimanded by her dentist( yeah the guy who usually is in the white lab coat )– Jessica Simpson flashed her now infamous million dollar grin at New York’s Operation Smile Annual Gala.

“Trust me: I’ve been through it,” Simpson told the crowd, reflecting on her brushes with criticism and self-esteem issues. “I’ve had to travel from country to country but we can do it right here in America and find ourselves, believe in ourselves and be who we are.”

Still, the singer, who turns 30 in July, is working on boosting her self-esteem and is optimistic about finding love again.

“It’s happening and I feel it,” Simpson said. “I think [30] is going to be a good year for me. I experienced a lot in my twenties – a lot more than a lot of people in their twenties would experience. I feel old in a lot of ways, but I feel naive in ways that I can’t wait to see what happens next.”

And despite a recent string of failed romance, Simpson, who stays svelte by boxing with her trainer, remains confident. “I can find love anywhere,” she said.

During the gala, Simpson also revealed the launch of a new self-esteem initiative with Operation Smile called “A Beautiful Me, Believe in Yourself, Change the World,” that seeks to improve the lives of young people.

Says Simpson: “I promise this movement will change the lives of so many girls that don’t feel good about themselves.

Last week, while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the singer revealed that she brushes her teeth only about three times a week.

“My teeth are so white and I don’t like them to feel too slippery, but I do use Listerine and I do floss everyday,” she told DeGeneres. “But I don’t brush them everyday. I’ll use a shirt or something … I know it’s gross, but I always have fresh breath.”

Simpson’s dentist, Dr. Bill Dorfman, who appeared on an episode of Simpson’s previous reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica and maintains a practice in Los Angeles, says he’s surprised and concerned about her brushing habits.

“I was kind of shocked. I assumed everybody brushed their teeth all the time,” he tells PEOPLE. “People pay us a lot of money for that slippery feeling. It’s kind of the best part.”

But this wasn’t the first time Simpson has talked about her lack of brushing. In March, the singer told a group of people a similar story at the “iheartradio presents an Evening with Jessica Simpson” in New York.

“Find me when I’m 60 and [my teeth] will probably be all out, but I literally have these strong powerful teeth that don’t need to be brushed,” Simpson told the audience.

“It’s great that she’s flossing all the time, but you have to brush too,” Dorfman recommends. “What goes on in your mouth really affects your whole body.” I am sorry but this is something that Jessica should have really kept to herself.

Did you hear that Jessica Simpson lost her dog to a coyote a couple of days ago and it happened right in front of her?  That would be horrible to see a coyote snatch your dog right in front of your eyes.  She’s offering a reward to anyone who can get her dog back (see the sign…ignore the fact that caramel is spelled wrong).  I hope by some miracle the little dog wasn’t eaten but chances are?  Yup, little Daisy was a scooby snack for the wild coyote.

Brad and Angelina did what a lot of parents won’t do (or won’t admit to doing anyway)…they took their children through the drive-thru of a McDonald’s.  Can you imagine being the teenager working that window? 

Jessica Simpson isn’t asking for the $100,000 boat she gave to her ex for his birthday.  Did she set critics off when she claimed she wasn’t an Indian giver?  If I had a dollar for every time I heard that on the playground!  It turns out she is 1/16th Native American so did that make it OK?  Seems there are a lot of things to be critical of these days and that wouldn’t be one on the top of my list.

Jessica Simpson isn’t sitting at home, wallowing in self-pity and nursing a broken heart after being rudely dumped right before her birthday (Yes, I said rudely.  Even if she was the Queen Diva of them all – and I’m not saying she was…I’m just doing a “what if” scenario - it can wait until AFTER the birthday, can’t it?).  She was recently sighted leaving a gym and she didn’t look like she’d been crying that morning either.  She looks together and fresh.  A little exercise is good for stress relief.  Good for your health.  Good for the ultimate revenge – looking smokin’!
