I was enjoying my coffee this morning and checking out some of the latest celebrity gossip on E! Online. One of my favorite things about this site is all of the awesome red carpet coverage they have with exclusive picture.
This morning, they shared some of the most memorable looks from the MTV Video Music Awards. Since the award show for 2014 is tomorrow night, I thought that I would share this picture from E! Online of these crazy looks from the past Video Music Award Shows. It seems like the goal of this award show is to make a huge statement on the red carpet. Well, what do you think? Do you think that these ladies made a statement?
I’ve had my fair share of razor incidences in the shower and bathtub. Shaving my legs is totally not as smooth and flawless looking as they make it look on those commercials for Venus. If shaving were that easy, I would do it every day and my legs would be silky and smooth and ready for just about any outfit I throw on. Instead, I end up with razor burn, knicks, and spots of missed hair…ewww!
I tried waxing my legs for the first time a couple of weeks ago and I have to say that I’m never going back to shaving! I had an appointment for leg waxing in Huntington Beach. Your legs will be smooth and red carpet ready in no time! You won’t be able to stop flaunting them!
Did you happen to check out the ESPY Awards this year? They were on TV on Wednesday night. I’m really glad that I tuned into this, because I had something going on that got cancelled at the last minute.
I loved seeing all of the celebrities and athletes on the red carpet. One of my favorite was Jessica Alba. I like her to begin with, and her outfit was perfect for summer and the event. It was simple yet had enough to make it stand out and shine. E! Online has a great spot with pictures from the ESPY red carpet arrivals.

Have you heard of the Met Gala? If you haven’t, it’s an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. It also serves as the opening night for the institute’s annual fashion exhibit and is one of the most exclusive social events in New York as well as one of the biggest fundraisers for the city. This is considered the fashion industry’s premier annual red carpet event.
Check out the Vogue website for a list and pictures of the best dressed of the night. For the worst dressed of the night (or the not-dressed at all), check out the hideous picture to the left.
What was this guy THINKING!? His “outfit” (if you can call it that) consisted of a gold chain around his neck and a hot pink “mankini”. He attempted to make his appearance by streaking across the red carpet as celebs and other A-listers were arriving but was unsuccessful. In case you were wondering if he was cold in that minimal outfit, don’t worry, he had leg-warmers to complete the look.
It’s no secret that celebrities have what it takes to look like they belong on the red carpet. They have the trendiest dresses, the most dazzling jewelry, the best heels, and hairstyles that look perfect. I almost always look to the red carpet for inspiration when I’m going to a classy event. I know I’m not alone here when I say that sometimes I watch award shows like the Emmys, Grammys, and Oscars just to see what all of the celebrities are wearing!
I’m going to a VERY formal holiday party on New Years Eve and have already been looking for a dress. I found a website that carries red-carpet worthy winter formals. I’m looking for something floor-length and really like this one:
What do you think? I’m going to pair it with silver heels and a silver clutch to bring out the sparkle at the top of the dress.
