People.com tells us that A wedding and a baby are on the way for Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.

The musicians “are expecting a baby and are engaged to be married in a private ceremony later this year,” reps for the couple confirm to PEOPLE. I am sure n0w that they have announced that they are expecting they will be flooded with baby gifts.

The announcement comes after the two, together since fall 2008, attended Thursday night’s Black Ball in London, which benefits Keys’s Keep a Child Alive charity.

“They’re very happy,” says a friend of the couple.

Rapper Swizz Beatz (real name: Kasseem Dean), 31, has produced music for Keys, 29, and worked with artists including Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani.

It will be the first marriage for Grammy-winner Keys – and their first child together. Swizz Beatz is father to Kasseem Jr., 3, and son Prince, both from previous relationships.

People.com tells us that Mariah Carey abruptly pulled out of her role in Tyler Perry’s new film this week, PEOPLE has learned, sparking renewed speculation the singer/actress is pregnant. If  Mariah is pregnant I would love to be one of the first people to send her baby gifts. 

Carey, who won acclaim for her work in Precious, was set to appear in the adaptation of Ntozake Shange’s 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Filming was set to start next month.

But on Tuesday Carey abruptly withdrew from the project.

“I’m not at liberty to discuss her personal life at this time,” Carey’s spokeswoman Cindi Berger says, declining to give a reason for Carey’s withdrawal.

Carey, 41, recently celebrated the second anniversary of her marriage to Nick Cannon.

Facing pregnancy rumors nearly from the start, Cannon, 29, has made it clear the couple want children. “We’re going to do it, and when we do it we’re going to let you all know,” he said last year. “But right now, we’re trying to enjoy the newlywed aspect.”

People.com tells us that John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who have lived through the tragedy of losing a son, can now announce the best news they’ve had in years.

Preston, 47, is pregnant, the family tells PEOPLE.

“It’s impossible to keep a secret … especially one as wonderful as this,” they say in a statement. “We want to be the first to share this great news with everyone that we are expecting a new addition to our family.

Travolta, 56, and Preston are also parents to Ella Bleu, 10. Their 16-year-old son Jett, died of a seizure in January 2009.

The family also shared the news Tuesday on Travolta’s Web site and Preston’s site. I am so so happy for the both of them.I am sure now that they have announced that they are expecting all their friends will be sending baby gifts.

It has been reported by People Magazine that Carson Daly, 35, is expecting his first child with girlfriend Siri Pinter in early spring. Siri is a writer’s assistant on Daly’s show “Last Call with Carson Daly.”

Oh well, maybe they want things to be private now?  I am interested to see what kind of baby gifts they’ll be asking for in the furture!  Wonder if that information will be available?
